Signalized Intersection Simulation Program for Education

This software program was designed by Dr. Scott Washburn of the University of Florida to assist undergraduate students in learning queuing theory and signal operation and analysis. These two topics are usually the most challenging for students to grasp when taking the Introduction to Transportation Engineering course. The visual and active learning aspects of this software program will allow students to visualize the relationships between the inputs and performance measures associated with signalized intersection operation and analysis. The program uses SwashSim, which is an existing traffic simulation tool developed by Dr. Washburn.
