STRIDE supports the U.S. Department of Transportation effort in striving to provide opportunities and encourage women to pursue transportation as a career path in hopes of developing a more highly skilled, innovative transportation workforce. Being introduced to the field and having realistic expectations may spark an interest in all modes of transportation and encourage participants to take classes in math, science, and technology.
