Online Resources for K-12 Educators

For at-home teachers and parents looking for educational resources related to engineering and transportation, STRIDE maintains a list of free K-12 resources on its website.

Included in this resource list are STEM activities from the Institute for Transportation Engineers (ITE); activities, videos, and demonstrations related to crash safety developed by UF professor, Dr. Griffith Jones, for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS); and links to a wide range of engineering activities through TeachEngineering, DiscoverE, the PBS Kids Design Squad and more.

For students wanting to explore careers and opportunities in the transportation and engineering fields, there is a 5-minute video, “Your Future in Transportation,” produced by the Transportation Research Board as well as 3-minute videos featuring a wide variety of engineers produced by NBC News Learn.

If you have a free resource to add to this list, please email Ondine Wells, STRIDE K-12 Coordinator, at owells@ufl.edu.
